Встреча технической рабочей группы по развитию цифровых навыков Кыргызстана

On May 28, 2021 the World Bank and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic organized technical working group meeting in online format.

The main objective of this meeting is to bring together the different stakeholders working on digital skills development in the country to ensure a cohesive process moving forward. Following presentations are planned:
● Presentation of the national strategy of Sanarip Kyrgyzstan (MOE and State Communications Committee).
● Presentation of reports on status of digital skills in the country, enabling environment and future needs (ADB, UNESCO, UNDP, World Bank).
● Presentation of work on digital development in the country (MOE in collaboration with development partners with projects on digital skills development – UNESCO, UNDP and the World Bank).

Participants
We expect participation of the Regional Education departments of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz Academy for Education, Republican Institute for In-service Teacher Training, Learning Quality Assessment and Information Technologies Center (NLQA&IT), Kyrgyz Economic University, Center for Educational Assessment and Teaching Methods (CEATM), University of Central Asia in Kyrgyz Republic, American University in Central Asia, Education Initiatives Foundation, Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation, DQ Institute, National Agency for IT and Learning – Denmark, International Association for Educational Assessment (IEA), Asian Development Bank, Soros Foundation, UNDP, UNICEF, UNESCO.

In the section “Status of the digital skills in the country, enabling environment and future needs”, UNDP Project Coordinator Kanagat Alyshbaev presented progress in the project “Digital skills and opportunities for youth
employment in the digital economy in the Kyrgyz Republic”, which included references to the reports prepared by Aziz Soltobaev.

Aziz Soltobaev, founder of KG Labs, also took part in the working group meeting in online format.
