The work translates research outputs and policy contributions into accessible material \u2014 long-form posts, accessible explainers, media engagement, and the public Russian-language vocabulary that the responsible-technology conversation in Central Asia requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"callout\">\n  <div class=\"l\">\u2014 Why Russian matters<\/div>\n  <p>The global responsible AI conversation \u2014 its key documents, reference frameworks, and research literature \u2014 is almost entirely in English. Practitioners working in Russian operate at a structural disadvantage in accessing this material. Producing materials in Russian is not a translation exercise. It is the access layer through which Central Asian civil society participates in international frameworks on equal terms.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Long-Form Posts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation maintains a regularly-updated record of substantive posts on AI governance, digital infrastructure, climate technology, and the institutional history of digital policy in Central Asia. Designed for civil society practitioners to map domestic AI governance gaps against international frameworks.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Stimulating FinTech in Kyrgyzstan<\/strong> \u2014 bilingual two-part documentary\/policy series produced from the 2018 FinTech Series.<\/li>\n  <li>Eight bilingual <strong>FinTech series outputs<\/strong> across 2018\u20132019, including the <a href=\"\/hackathons-and-competitions\/fintech-events-digital-economy-cashless-payments-october-2018\/\">Cashless Payments<\/a> and <a href=\"\/hackathons-and-competitions\/fintech-events-qr-payments-case-battle-february-2019\/\">QR Payments Case Battle<\/a> records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Media Engagement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation engages with Kyrgyz and regional media on substantive technology-policy topics rather than promotional coverage. Documented engagements include the <strong>CNBC feature<\/strong> &#171;Belt and Road: Tech entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan&#187; (January 2018), the <strong>GoKG interviews<\/strong> on tourism technology (November\u2013December 2016), and ongoing partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/tazabek.kg\">Tazabek<\/a> as the Kyrgyz business and economics media platform of record on ICT and ecommerce sector reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International Visibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Where the Foundation&#8217;s work has reached an international audience, it has done so through specific named publications and citations rather than general communications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n  <li>Inclusion of the Foundation&#8217;s tourism-policy model in the <strong>Startup Nations Atlas of Policies<\/strong> by the Global Entrepreneurship Network.<\/li>\n  <li>Citation of KG Labs as a <strong>UNECE Good Practice and Initiative Supporting Innovation for Sustainable Development<\/strong> (Kyrgyzstan SPECA background paper, August 2018).<\/li>\n  <li>Stimson Center 2026 article &#171;Charting Central Asia&#8217;s Technological Renaissance and Future Potential&#187; \u2014 featuring KG Labs&#8217; perspective on the region&#8217;s responsible-AI trajectory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-kg-neutral-100-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-kg-neutral-100-background-color is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-kg-neutral-400-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:0.875rem\">Raise Awareness sits alongside the Foundation&#8217;s other operational programme areas: <a href=\"\/build-skills\/\">Build Skills<\/a>, <a href=\"\/promote-smart-policies\/\">Promote Smart Policies<\/a>, <a href=\"\/research\/\">Research<\/a>, and <a href=\"\/unite-community\/\">Unite Community<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Raise Awareness is the Foundation&#8217;s public communication programme.
