Aziz Soltobaev visited Tajikistan for meeting with Startupstan and 55Group

On October 26, 2018, Aziz Soltobaev met with the Startupstan team in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe.

During the discussion, the head of 55Group and Startupstan – Ravshan Kurbanov spoke about the current state of the startup ecosystem of the Republic of Tajikistan, the main challenges, problems and prospects.

In addition, Ravshan told about the activities of 55Group and events aimed at developing the business environment in the country.

In turn, Aziz Soltobaev shared his experience with KG Labs on building technological entrepreneurship in the Kyrgyz Republic, the role of the quality and speed of the Internet, experience of interacting with the local community, activities carried out to develop a start-up environment and planned activities at the regional level.

Ravshan took the opportunity to start Startup Safary in Dushanbe, partner with Garage48 to conduct a large-scale hackathon, create an association of business angels, learn from launching business incubators in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as laws that could stimulate business development in the country.

Ravshan handed Aziz souvenirs and gifts from 55Group. The parties agreed on further cooperation, holding regional events across Central Asia aimed at stimulating the development of the business environment and regional cooperation.
